Ending with tea and biscuits. Perfect! Good luck with the driving lessons. I've been driving for years and can't say that I enjoy it--unless out on the open roads.

What an adventure! A teenie bit of micro management going on there! A purple car....sounds like my type of colour.

Too funny. I had a friend in high school who knew where EVERYONE lived, so she always rode in the front with the driver, but she didn't know her left from right. It was hysterical going anywhere with her, b/c she NEVER told us to turn the right way.

She sounds like quite a character.

Hello! I love your description of 'L' - such a brilliant character study; I felt as if I knew her too. And buying a car because it is purple is perfect. Personally I will only buy a car if it suits an old-fashioned picnic hamper. Programmes like Top Gear just don't get it, do they?! ;)

The paranoia over distant car honking brings back bad memories!!I wish I'd had L in my corner at the time though :)

Love the end! Everything should end with biscuits - a happy conclusion indeed. :)
